[lettera a Gian Carlo Maroni]

A great lover of dogs -above all grayhounds-  d’Annunzio wished to create an area especially for them near the Priory.

“I beg you to hasten the work on the kennel […] The dogs must be sheltered […] We must must must” (Letter from Gabriele d’Annunzio to Gian Carlo Maroni, 1930).
As stated in d’Annunzio’s letter to his architect, the kennel was ardently desired by the Poet and today, after years of neglect, it has been completely renovated and included in the tour of the Vittoriale park.

The kennel, adjacent to the Priory, can also be used for events and demonstrations.
